    Here’s why: “Very little explanation.”

    I don’t disagree with Missouri ranking so close to the bottom, but this article doesn’t really go in depth at all. They had plenty of time to expand on the stripping away of abortion rights by the Republican members of their government, terrible crime rates in STL city and why that’s the case, and the mismanagement of government funds, but didn’t.

      Do you think that young people, the powerhouse of any state economy, are willing to stay in Missouri with this ridiculous Republican bullshit?

        In the Midwest it’s harder to just move out of state like in other regions. Sure, some in St. Louis city/metro will make the move to Illinois, but it’s not as simple elsewhere. There’s hundreds of miles to the nearest blue/centrist state and Midwesterners have a predisposition to stay where your friends and family are.
