I completely agree. The Orville is a fantastic show that really captures that TNG feeling while still being its own thing through humor.
And most important (for me): self-contained episodes. No season long story arcs that go nowhere.

Orville is a return to the ST:TNG formula that made Picard and Riker so famous and much loved.
I actually like Seth and Adriana as CiC and FO. They play off each other without seeming disingenuous.
