Under fire: Some corporations that make abortion pill filed a complained about their suspension and was since reinstated.

I wish there was fire. This did not even make it to Zucks desk.

Reposting my comment from another thread:

For anyone that needs this information, you can (currently) order abortion medicine (mifepristone and misoprostol) online in any state. I did it a few days ago and it was stupid easy to do. I’m not pregnant, but I wanted to order some as a just-in-case for myself or others.

The Plan C website has a great list of websites you can order from if you’re not pregnant. It costs about $150 and some offer financial assistance if you need it. But please do it NOW while you still can.

I ordered one from Aid access and one from safe choice. Both asked a few questions that didn’t ask for personal information or ID. They mostly just need an email, address to send it, and a credit/debit card to pay.

    Good luck out there everyone.

And very few medications will show a shelf life longer than 2 years because they simply aren’t tested for that length of time. Many medications that come in dried form (i.e., pills) are likely good for a decade or more, but safety and efficacy certainly are not guaranteed beyond what the manufacturer says.

Beyond that date, they may become less effective over time, but it’s rare that anything will become harmful. They’ll be fine for a long time (if kept in cool, dry, and dark conditions).

I don’t have it on hand, but I remember a study from several years ago that tested a variety of pill and tablet medications for actual shelf life. The big takeaway was that the vast majority of medications degrade extremely slowly unless exposed to moisture, sunlight, or excessive heat, and only a few actually become harmful.

TLDR: it’s safe to take an aspirin from the 1940s, but you might need to take two.

Losing users is a must for these services. If people stop using them then they become worthless. I personally find the advertisement and the shady manipulation going on in the background as a deal killer for me. I hope decent people realize they don’t have to wallow in spam and nastiness of those awful services; that civilized and spam-free alternatives are out there.

Meta has made themselves appear to be “indispensable” for a their own profit, and our demise. Nearly everyone I’ve ever talked to about leaving Meta has said the same thing, “I can’t leave because all my friends / business/ etc are on Meta.” We’re at a breaking point, and it may never be as easy to leave as it is today. Have you heard of Signal? For me it’s just a coincidence, but I was unable to access whatsapp, and so ended up using Signal. And have been encouraging others to use it as well, for nearly as long as Signal has been available.

I bit the bullet and jumped ship. It was hard deleting my account with all the friends and family following me, but I realized that FB isn’t a worthwhile substitute for real relationships. In fact I think it was detrimental to my personal life. People are also get very fake on those services.

I’m using signal in parallel, 20-30 people are on there vs. 200+ on whatsapp.

I’ve encouraged a few, but not enough for a full switch.

No such thing as “Freedom of Speech” on a private platform. We were told this endlessly during the whole Twitter v Trump debacle.

It’s a shitty thing for Meta & Insta to do but their platform and their rules.

If these were posts then yeah they can do what they want. If they were ads payed for by the pharmaceutical manufacturers then that’s a whole different ball game that I’m sire the FTC would be interested in… well under normal circumstances. Who knows with this clown show.

What’s with this surge of far-right moves in Silicon Valley? Surely mark knows how pissed everyone is with Elon for twitter and how they’re actively jumping ship. Oh well, it’s basically free advertisement for the fediverse

It’s Bozo the clown’s clown girlfriend with whom he cheated on his wife. Now they cosplay rural Americans in photoshoots with pickup trucks and cowboy hats to seem relatable because having a super yacht that has its own yacht is pretty goddamn extravagant.
