Could you explain more about how the “statement is one sided”?

One sided in the sense that it is only criticizing Israel’s conduct, and not dealing with Hamas at all, except for two paragraphs. One describing the atrocities perpetrated on October 7th, and the other referencing their 2019 findings which is buried in a footnote.

If the committee released a similar statement dealing with Hamas or the PA, it would be understandable. However, they have not done this, nor shown any indication they intend to do so.

Israel propped up Hamas as justification for genocide as well as to split the secular factions in Palestine against eachother. Plus the settler behaviour to Palestinians over decades: Im not surprised Hamas and PA are bigoted against Israelis.

I’m not gonna listen to people whining that the UN is “one sided” when making vaguely critical statements while trying to reign in a nuclear power that has made it their explicit goal to wipe out millions of people in the name of an ethno-state.

Just got to love how you get downvoted on Lemmy for not being anti Israel. How dare you call them out on their biased (or worse) stuff.
