Why did we go from the more descriptive "private message (PM) to direct (DM)like why replace it? Anyone know?
Because of the implication it’s not actually private, since admins can see it and/or it’s used for analytics.
It’s still private for the purposes that other users can’t see it.
Yeah, however the term is disingenuous.
