A new report says that Apple was working on making the Apple Watch and Health app compatible with Android before canceling the project.

    Guess they’ll need a sustainable business model first. I could see an Apple Watch for Android under certain circumstances:

    • Subscription based in some way, like iCloud Drive for Apple Watch or whatever
    • Limited set of features on Android while getting full set of features on iOS
    • Limited to more expensive Pro or Pro Plus Max or Ulta Pro models to account for lost sales of iPhones on the way
    • Standalone functionality with Wifi and eSIM capabilities
