Man, even the US has this one. Wild to learn that it’s not universal.
And it’s a lifesaver. Even with it, places still try to scam you. I was just in a concert/bar recently that, when asked for water, would give you a $7 can of Liquid Death unless you explicitly specified otherwise. Lots of couples walking around with $14 of water in their hands…
“Ha ha, isn’t it funny how Americans tip in restaurants.”
