    I’m sure just building more suburbs and blocking all walkable city efforts will help this problem!/s

      Most people aren’t even ready to admit that this style of development is even a factor in loneliness, mental health, and general strength of a community.

      Still lots of boomers in senior planning positions. It doesn’t help that the only people that attend public meetings are also seniors and boomers so nimbyism is rampant.

        It doesn’t help that they specifically hold those meetings during most people’s normal work hours making it impossible for anyone but retired people, disabled people, or people who work say 3rd shift to show up

          To be truly fair, there should be several meetings that cover the same topics throughout the week/month so that more people have an oppourtunity to be heard
