Hamas runs summer camps, in which the children learn to shoot weapons, attack from a tunnel, fight against tanks and kidnap soldiers. The camps are early stages for military training in Hamas and integration into the military wing. According to the United Nations website for the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Children and Armed Conflict, a prohibition exists on the use of children as soldiers.

Hamas use children as soldiers, and therefore these children die because Hamas used them.

If not Hamas, they won’t be dead.

This is false. Civilians are dying, including children.

… Unless they’re standing in the wrong building, or their parents don’t have enough money to buy food under the near-total blockade, or they get cholera from open sewerage or…

Whataboutisms are useless to everyone. Atrocities have been committed on both sides. The question is, how do we make them stop? Neither Hamas nor Otzma Yehudit are likely to be part of that picture.

Looks like IDF is claiming 170 child soldiers with no evidence of direct involvement in fighting. Seems to be a war crime on Hamas’s part, but pinning mass death of children on child soldiers is not honest. Not saying you specifically are pushing this idea, but thought some context wouldn’t hurt here.
