    Amazon will not carry it because he doesn’t agree to their terms.

    Using that as clickbait lowers my opinion of his work.

    Amazon is not refusing to carry it. The author isn’t selling it on Amazon. Pretty big difference.

      But you know, being on Lemmy reminds me of how it once was. We can avoid these fucking leaches and use our own apps and websites.

      Because their audiobook platform requires DRM. They don’t want you to own the audio file. If you owned it, you could take it with you, you could share it, and you could copy it.

        Just found out they charge a 75% commission (60% if you sign an exclusive contract with them). Oh, and they get to completely control the pricing. Guess that makes them the real authors.
