Hawaii's governor says the blaze that burned through the town of Lahaina on Maui last week has killed at least 101 people, as recovery efforts continue.

Lest we forget, wealthy mainlanders have been displacing Hawaiians and other locals long long before this wildfire. Pacific islanders are a far too often forgotten victim of US colonialism and I hope everyone on Maui gets the chance to heal from this without fear of losing there home

To make that worse, Lahaina was the former capital of the Kingdom of Hawai’i. They have lost their history once again.
