You asserted intervention in Afghanistan was profit-driven

Lmao I bet you think we invaded Iraq to hunt down al-Qaeda too. The billions we poured into defense contractors in Afghanistan just magically went missing right?

If you don’t want to get labeled as a fragile tool then maybe don’t lash out and attack an Afghans’ mild criticism of the US. The US literally invaded and occupied Afghanistan for 20 years yet you all are trying your damnedest to pretend the situation there is someone else’s fault all while blaming the victim.

Iraq was something else completely different and it was very shady. Nothing about the justifications there made sense.

Afghanistan was fairly cut and dry. The Taliban refused to turn over bin Laden and the US invaded.

It later became a multilateral international peacekeeping mission primarily with NATO nations.

I actually went to Afghanistan during the war in 2010. Even then it was clear that NATO controlled green zones only and everything outside those green zones were run by the shadow Taliban government.

Iraq started to protect the oil fields of the Persian Gulf. Afterwards we stayed to keep it from going into chaos and keep Iran from filling the void.
