Regardless, he was doing business in France and not following its laws. So the official reason still makes more sense than your fantasies. Yes, companies should comply with law enforcement when their platform is evidently used for crimes.

Governments would continually go to him and ask for help to save people’s lives and he told them to fuck off. He’s right where he’s supposed to be now.
