I admit I do love it when Trump gets trolled.
(Weirdly, the post title didn’t match the headline in the actual link, but the version Lemmy let me click on to make the title works better anyway.)

No? I’m telling you that he can’t win with just his supporters. Are you suggesting he’s definitely going to win and no one should bother voting for Harris? What is the point of this discussion if you aren’t?
Let’s see…
Guess not.
I understand you said he can’t win with just his supporters - you also said he’s losing those supporters. Putting aside the fact that people voting for him are definitionally supporters, you understand that those 2 statements clearly imply that there’s no need to vote for Harris, right?
My point is that you’re all over the place with your talking points - there doesn’t seem to be any way to thread them together.
I did not say he was losing supporters.
This is what I said:
I have no idea why you’re lying when the comment chain is right there.
Who is the “they” if not people that would vote for Trump, and what do you mean by “shaved off” if you don’t mean they won’t be voting for him?
This is the third time. What part of this is unclear to you?
Those are not his supporters. There’s a difference between voting for someone and supporting them. I didn’t support either Clinton or Biden. I voted for them because they weren’t Trump.
Would it be fair to rephrase that as the people you’ve said he needs are abandoning him? What does that suggest about the need for people that oppose Trump to vote?
I don’t know how you think lining up to vote for the head of the Republican party isn’t supporting both the party and the head of the party, but that nonsensical position is beside the point.
No, it wouldn’t be fair to change my words. But I can see why you would want to rather than acknowledge you didn’t understand what I was saying.
In that case, I’ll rephrase my question.
Would it be fair to rephrase that asShould I take that to mean that the people you’ve said he needs are abandoning him? What does that suggest about the need for people that oppose Trump to vote?My point the entire time is that what you’re saying is nonsense. You’re saying he’s being abandoned by the people he needs - whether it’s his supporters or non-supporters that will line up and support him by voting for him, and in response to me pointing out the election is a toss-up, you’re accusing me of suggesting people don’t need to turn out to vote and lying.
You see your flagrant hypocrisy and dishonesty here, don’t you - or does the same deficiency that undermines your ability to understand the meaning of “support” similarly affect your reading comprehension and/or understanding of basic causality?
Nope. There would only be hypocrisy and dishonesty if I said he would definitely lose and so you shouldn’t vote.
I said no such thing.
I didn’t even say you said that. I asked you if that’s what you meant. Then you got all upset and decided it was an accusation.
