I’m probably more of a git noob than you, but I do usually use the cli. I figured if I’m going to give a gui editor an honest shake I should try to do things the inbuilt, gui, way. And more to the point, I do appreciate a good user interface with information at a glance or click instead of having to type out a command each time.

Very first impressions since I literally just downloaded before writing this, and haven’t read the manual, I may change my mind with more experience.

• It’s incredibly snappy, to my eyes as fast as Helix.
• A lot of stuff that took me a while to figure out in VS Code was immediately obvious. How to toggle inlay hints for Rust? Parameter Icon > Inlay Hints (with the keyboard shortcut there for easy toggling).
• Interactive is generally intuitive because it seems pretty permissive. Tab vs Enter to autocomplete? Either! ctrl-shift-Z vs ctrl-Y to redo? Same thing!
• After being so used to Helix I often reach for keybinds that don’t exist. I might have to learn Vim keybinds because I’m definitely going to keep trying Zed.
• Not sure how I feel about what seems to be an inline discord-like chat/voice-call feature.

Going to check out if there’s git integration, because I couldn’t easily find it.

Is that extra soft tofu? It usually has more protein than that. A pack of extra-soft I have is 8g / 100g, and some other varieties seem to be 10-15 from online sources.

That seems reasonable, given they presumably use the price for dried beans as well. When you care about price (and therefore about about a price/protein graph) you buy beans dried.

Probably somewhere around the legume cluster. They’re really pulling their weight there, as expected, though peanuts are quite the dark horse.

I’m not defending fossil-fueled energy production. When the product is energy it’s inexcusable to produce it in such a grossly irresponsible manner.

But if “coal energy” specifically was the product, and consumers overwhelmingly directly choose it rather than available renewable energy, then yeah I’d cut companies a bit more slack. When the harm isn’t in method but the product, and people are choosing that product instead of alternatives, then much of the blame rests on them.

Do you really only do good things when you’ve been conditioned to do so? You don’t ever try to grow past what society tells you? I’m not asking you to solve everything. I’m asking you not to be a part of the problem. Defending your behavior by pointing to that of others has not been a historically sound position.

As much as I’m generally on your side, that’s not honestly answering the premise, which is that those chickens do live a happy live.

I personally don’t seek so-called ethical meat because every example I’ve looked into has been a lie, and if it does exist it’s not worth my time to comb through supply lines in search for a product whose origin I would always worry about, and that I can do perfectly well without.

As horrible as those people are, it’s not like they’re just belching carbon dioxide into the atmosphere for fun. They’re fulfilling demand. That 40% wouldn’t disappear just by spreading ownership of the factories to more people. That’s not to say that individual action is the only thing that works. Regulations need to be put in place to curb emissions, incentives should reward producers for investing & transitioning to more sustainable practices, and yes, monopolies need to get split up.

But the fact remains that some products are just bad for the environment. As as long as people continue buying those products they’ll keep being produced. And when animal agriculture accounts for about as many emissions as the entire transportation industry, this seems like one of the easier steps to make.

The “my actions won’t end this problem so I don’t need to do anything” mentality never comes up in any other field (politeness, crimes, social change, voting). Yeah, choosing to never hold open doors for others wouldn’t noticeably affect the global rate, but I doubt you’d use that logic to justify being rude.

Nah, that would have been a good thing to check though.

The app is saying that it can’t communicated with the device, and the Wifi is working fine, so It seems to be an app issue rather than a device issue. Do you have any insights?

I’ve tried factory resetting the router, and have reinstalled the app several times. I think I’ve gotten, if not to the source, than further down the chain.

1. Port Management requires cloud services, which is why it redirects me to the place where I can enable that.
2. However when I try enabling it, it is “Unable to save settings.”
3. I tried to “Restart entire network” which revealed that it is “Unable to communicate with your network at this time.”

And that’s the core thing I don’t know how to get around. The app can’t actually interact with the network. That explains why restarting the network hasn’t fixed it in the past. I don’t understand how it could be an issue only I have though, since it happens regardless of reinstalling the app.

I have the same app version and my account has “Manager” permissions, which seems like it should be enough by the description.

Are there other types of permission?
