I was thinking more like Psycho Pass. The AI is its own entity, living in reality, doing the AI things that it was made to do, it’s just its processing power is a bunch of human brains linked together.

I’m being increasingly convinced that when we do develop true AI, it’ll actually be just a massive array of interconnected human brains in a secret facility somewhere.
“Long COVID won’t cost us billions if we don’t have to treat them.”
The browser was sold to Chinese investors though.
Hey buddy, while I share your sentiment, only we’re allowed to shit on our own country. You can go fuck yourself.
No, that’s not OK. It’s not ok for a law enforcer to kill anyone for any reason other than in the immediate defense of themselves or other civilians.
That’s not their job. They are not political assassins. They are law enforcement. They enforce the law. The law is not “kill any traitors on sight” we already know how untrustworthy police officers are, they’ve proven time and time again that they abuse their power as much as possible. It would be incredibly foolish to give them a blanket pass on killing people because the officer determined they were a Nazi.
I think it’s important to point out that this is not justifiable because he was a jan 6 rioter, but because he was reaching for a gun.
It’s a small distinction, but an important one, as justifications can easily stretch to encompass things they shouldn’t. If it’s ok for an officer to kill someone at a traffic stop solely because they were at the riot, then it won’t be long before it’s justification for killing someone at a protest, or just for speaking out.
So good riddance to bad rubbish in this case, but be wary of dismissing a police officer killing someone just because we don’t like them.
Maybe they can try crystals, or magnets.
Ooo! OOO! Photograph their aura!
As long as they got their Luigi board from a witch, or a vegan.
It should be pretty common knowledge that lie detector tests are completely bogus and can’t be trusted. They’re not admissible in court cases. Polygraph tests are proven to be made up pseudoscience.
They might as well try using crystal pendulum tests to dowse out the national security threats.
I’m running an original steam deck, and I don’t have frame rate issues. I had one cutscene lock up the system, but other than that one hiccup, it’s been running fine on default low settings.
Simple, they want the public to believe that if they follow in the killers footsteps, they will be caught and go through hell in order to dissuade other people who might do the same. There are obviously a lot of people who applaud his actions, so to try to prevent them from getting the idea that they can do this too, they make a show of force to make them think twice.
In the end it doesn’t matter if Luigi did it or not. As long as people are scared of the pinishment, they will hesitate to imitate.
Not true justice, but they never really cared about that to begin with.
No I’m not shilling. Germany literally just recently shut them all down, and now are complaining about rising energy costs sending them into a recession. A problematic move that was predicted by just about everybody, even most germans thought it was a bad idea.
And now we have this article. Pro nuclear or not, axing a huge chunk of your country’s power production in an age of exponentially growing power demands, is definitely not a good idea.
Germany: shuts down all their nuclear power plants.
Also Germany: why is power so expensive?
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
This is literally the first I’m hearing of this game.
Just about every single Asian country that has ocean territory has complained about China entering its waters without permission.
The problem with making things you make free, is that people as a whole are terribly selfish and lazy. They will take anything free and claim them as their own. Individually, tons of people will respect the wishes of original creators, but it only takes 1 single person who doesn’t care who will ruin it. The problem is the Internet has billions of 1’s. You can ask please don’t copy my freely available thing all you want, but it’ll never happen. There will always be those that will repost as thier own. From ideas to assets, nothing is sacred when it comes to the masses.
Wow, TIL that we have a cricket team.
Maybe if the police actually took steps to prevent robbery, or do literally anything to recover stolen property, people wouldn’t feel the need to try and do it themselves.
It is incredibly wild. That show was awesome.
