Isn’t this why a lot of companies have essentially mandatory vacation for their accountants? Gives a baked in reason to have another set of eyes on the practices of the department.

I mean…recording it is a form of record keeping…
They would still control it more than they did in Netflix, so it’s still upside in their eyes.
That was my thought. Impossible to say in just a few months, of course, but here’s hoping it’s legit!
I got the Gulikit KingKong 2 Pro a little while ago for the hall-effect joysticks and am liking it so far. Haven’t used it a bunch with my Deck, but when I did, it worked well. It’s $60, though, so maybe too pricey.
True!
Online content always seems to provide sub-par quality, even on good connections. Don’t need to worry about that with downloaded media.
Streaming services are bound and determined to make themselves Cable TV all over again. We had it good for a little while, at least.
Can’t really blame them. They’ve also been killing it with support, still adding content all this time later. I wonder if they’re getting tired of it.
Hard to know how success correlates to $$$ for them, but I wonder if they could do auxiliary projects alongside their Terraria development with a bigger team.
Sounds about right. I always saw Skullgirls as a pervy, problematic fighting game. Figures the fanbase (and those that just see it as an opportunity to rile people up) would be in that category. Cool to see the devs taking steps to address it, though.
I remember when the sale dates were a mystery. There was more excitement to the expectation and wondering than there is just waiting for a specific day.
I think the question is more if you like the term.
Can’t really force anyone to make an app like that. As much as I love rif, I doubt we’re getting that treatment for Lemmy. Hopefully the sync dev makes a good one!
Fwiw, the dev for RIF has announced they’re going to be making an app for Tildes.
I’m not arguing that it’s not better to wait, just saying that there used to be a reason for it.
Used to be that you might not get the game for quite a while if you didn’t pre-order. Not sure if that’s still the case with physical.
Personally, I still consider SSDs too expensive compared to HDDs, especially considering the space that modern games take up. A dedicated 1TB SSD (around $50 at a good price) can hold maybe 10 games these days.
I mean, for one, that’s the only metric you chose to measure games by, so I’m not sure what else you would expect. Should we reply as if you used an entirely unmentioned metric?
Second, I specifically mentioned “many”, not you in particular. That’s not strawmaning, that’s talking about a general trend.
