It was always this dangerous.
You just hear about it at an increased rate and with more fluff thanks to click hungry internet media.

I don’t know about “better”. It looks different.
But then again, I think the original looks fine and that there’s no need for a remake. It’s just a way to milk suckers for more cash.
“Look at the shiny! Don’t you want the shiny?”
That would be wasteful. I mean, it’s a country where the state has organ farms (and worse).
Why just kill someone, when you can harvest and/or sell them?
A quick look at TPB’s top 100 games tells me that was a lie.
I don’t know.
But once ya’ll figure out where you stand, just know that Saber Int. has their fingers in quite a few upcoming titles.
Linux Mint for sure.
It’s more welcoming to newbies than even Windows.
Don’t feel bad for them. Firewalk Studios may only have Concord to it’s name, but the Devs are all from Bungie and Activision. That should already ring some alarm bells.
They knew exactly what they were doing. They are the ones that sold the idea of Concord to Sony. For once I doubt Sony had to push for any of the bad decisions.
They didn’t waste $100 mill+ and 8 years development time on a random passion project. This was designed for a single reason, to make money in ridiculous amounts. To squeeze every penny out of kids and their parents.
I can’t feel bad for anyone that worked on something like that when it fails.
As with all precious gems, stones and metals. It’s only worth something if someone wants to buy it.
This lady saw it’s practical worth, as a doorstop. I have to admit, I’m with her on this one.
I think they did. As people keep saying the gameplay was fun. It’s everything else that doesn’t work.
No no, I just see “Underrated” used a lot about things that really aren’t underrated. It’s become a bit of a pet peeve for me. (Like when someone calls REM an underrated band. Like, they are world renowned. They’re just old and broken up.)
And I’m also pointing out a likely reason for them not being talked about as much as other titles in the same genre. Aside from going through the game with different roles, the first game just doesn’t have a lot of replay value. Not a lot of ‘Choice & Consequence’ or things to discover. There’s your Char and what God you choose to side with in the end. That’s kinda it.
Good games, but not exactly riveting.
So they aren’t underrated. Just low replayability value.
And if Avowed is part of the series, I’d say the IP’s doing fine. Three installments is pretty good.
Pillars of Eternity? Are they considered underrated?
The first one did pretty well as far as I remember.
My only personal complaint was that the game was too lineary.
Pcgamer sure is putting a lot of words and intentions onto people.
Edit: I have now read Firewalks wiki and I’m starting to see a picture. Just seeing the words “Sony”, “Bungie” and “Activision” repeated everywhere does kinda give an impression of what the hopes for the game were.
That’s not old Blizzard, but new Blizzard.
Old Blizzard is everything before WoW.
Starts making sense why Ukraine is faring better in the war than Russia if Russia is spending time and ressources being Dicks to civilians.
Gearing up for a swing at The Sinking City.
More than likely. And a Skyrim horse at that.
That’s a good take.
I never played it myself. Just watched some Letsplays and heard some of the criticism. And ‘Let’splayers’ tend not to be too harsh.
Not intentional and an error for sure, but a planned “feature” for sure.
Ad-hell is definitely gonna get worse.
I mean, YouTube is working on the whole “Ads during paused videos” thing.
You can be damned sure the “console commanders” are like-minded in their plans for your home-entertainment devices.
