It bothers me that it takes 76 people to organise a wedding.

Manage your ‘dot’ files??
Been doing Linux since Caldera OpenLinux 2.2 and I don’t think I have ever bothered back-ups except pinerc and maybe ~/.i3/config
Libredirect is really nice. Question: Can it bypass the front page without being turned off, then back on for links opened in tabs etc? Can’t work out if it can.
Gone as of 8pm time
Just one RPI 4 with Soulseek and NFS shares.
I was thinking about something similar and how I want to switch scrolling on my android. Any ideas?
Too edgy for me.
Vapes bug me more than smoke does. Only because I know that if I’m smelling that sickly sweet moist cloud, it’s only because it’s been ejected from someone’s lungs. That makes me mire uncomfortable than smelling tobacco smoke off a cigarette or cigar (as well as smoke exhaled).
Because I’m weird.
I’m reading this thread thinking “people are jumping through hoops just to do this stuff? Why?”
“because you can” evidently.
No wait, someone’s going to come in and whinge about Seasonal Affected Disorder, circadian rhythms and blue light or some other shit, aren’t they.
My Japanese parents-in-law were matched by family and parents. Their wedding was the second the they met. They’re in their 80s now and still together.
So no, not new.
Used Linux since 2000. Specifically choose distros without sysD. Never written a bash script because of it.
Funny old world.
Impending pro-western coup in 3…2…1…
Irritating thing with protonmail client on android is that there are instances when you open it, it will briefly display the inbox content before slapping the lock screen up. This is, obviously, a risk.
I’m using cash more if I can. It helps me budget.
Inclusion. Hasn’t worked in UK schools. It was suggested that “every child has the right to a mainstream education”, but this was the ‘spin’ the government were looking for on the back of the Warnock report (I think). 1978… yes it was a Tory government.
TL;DR Many UK educational units that were set up for pupils with ‘high support needs’ (the expensive stuff) were closed down, because cost cutting! All those pupils were shovelled into ‘mainstream’ which was already under-funded and badly provided for. This meant THEY were not funded and badly provided for, just like everyone else! Currently, 40 odd years later it’s a mess. Many schools are not geared up to manage a diverse range of learners, even 4 decades down the road. There are educational environments that specifically cater to a range of differing needs so that everyone can access learning suitable to their wants, needs, level and all that. But they are few and far between.
Education needs more money, more respect, everything. Not fashionable and doesn’t win votes though.

D’oh!
A bit like Thunder, all the navigation is horizontal, no voting arrows up the side life jerboa.
Apart from that it’s all muscle memory and first impressions probably.
Infinity is exactly what I was waiting for.
Hmmm. It’s almost as if it’s kind of related to the North Sea Licences.
I absolutely hate it too, it’s unfortunate that users have to jump through hoops editing profiles and css files just to tweak things.
Female genital MUTILATION is a term used in UK law and is banned to ensure women and girls have genital integrity.
Circumcision for children/boys for non-medical reasons and who are not old enough to give consent is handwaved away.
