Carry on the name?
Carry on the name?
Only started recently I think.
I didn’t say you would be screwing the boss. What you are doing by tipping is letting them away with it. I understand the expectation, I think it shouldn’t exist, I think it’s wrong. I also refuse to take a job like that which I believe IS the way to change it.
I really really don’t agree with this. They have already been screwed by their boss, you are choosing whether to Bail the boss out or not. The dynamic will never change by continuing your stance, you’ll just keep on bailing out the rich guys.
It’s not the articles that are horrifying. It’s the words and actions of these politicians that should have been a political death sentence. About half of the US seem fine with lies, racism, and homophobia. Even name calling was considered uncouth and it’s just mud flinging now and they love it. That’s what’s horrifying. It wasn’t the journos who did this, it was regular normal people.
Yeah there are already a few splits. The Aldi equator, the Weißwurstäquator.
They are protesting because Tesla want to extend their factory and chop down a forest to do so.
Totally. Poisonings in the UK. Assassinations in Berlin. Falls from windows. It’s business as usual.
Yeah but when someone revisits this in 5 years it will cost more…
I really don’t think cost should come into doing something like this. What’s the cost of NOT doing it? My whole life I’ve heard people along the East Coast wanting it. It’s one of the richest regions and has the one of the predicted greatest benefits in the country. If you are going to start making high speed rail why not make it where it’s useful?
I’m wondering if there are losses of water. Like leaks etc. If it’s a really large amount of water even a small percentage could be a lot. I’m really just spit balling here though really. I think that’s a pretty efficient use of water actually. The thermal conductivity is high compared to air and any cooling techniques which don’t include AC are surely better overall.
I think it would be easier than that if they alter the scoring. E.g. with 2 women, 3 men on the court then you have normal scoring. With 3 women, 2 men then you have 3 pointers as standard and 4 for what would normally be a 3. 3 free throws instead of 2 etc. Would really push getting more good women in for a power play. Especially when chasing a game.
I’ve been listening to the “behind the bastards” podcast. The one about him is very interesting. The guy described him as the first modern bastard. Used propaganda etc. The hand policy was actually terrible to hear of. I’d recommend it, even though a lot of those episodes are tough going they are very interesting and the guests lighten up the show pretty well.
Which he’ll overvalue! Honestly, considering the trials I’m not sure who would even buy anything from him for a serious amount of money. Might have to be at fire sale prices to get people to bite.
The planet will be fine. WE are fucked, the planet doesn’t give a shit about us.
I meant to reply to the person above you actually, sorry.
I think a lot of Americans, at least in this thread feel like this would be linked with Christian wackos. In Europe we have Christian wackos but they are not the same as the ones you have and are far fewer. It’s much more likely that people who hate on a minority are under educated and/or poor. It’s also much less of a sides thing, we don’t have the Christian wackos (GOP) vs “the rest”. Most countries have some sort of proportional representation, so there are Christians in all groups, the Christian wackos are more dilute. That’s not to say that they are non existant more that you can’t, for example, guess that these people were religious and probably be right like you might in the US.
I’m convinced, the accuracy of the clock matters. Your point that within one minute is on time is fair and as you said converges quickly. Definitely quicker than the life cycle of a regular clock. I’m a convert now.
That’s not true. e.g. If a clock loses time as soon as it is started (given power, wound), a time x. Then every day it will be wrong. Now, after n days it will come back around to being correct again. But, if n >> the life of the clock, then no, it will never be correct.
I can think of a few other scenarios where it’s also true that it will never be correct.
To add to that try puzzles, lots of nice games in there. I particularly like flow
