No one hates the US more than Trump. He is straight up driving the country off a cliff for revenge. His followers are too stupid to see it or religious end times cults who want it.

That’s the point. The right gets off on their enemies suffering. It’s insane considering the type of freedom trampling they claimed of the left wanted for decades is now celebrated when it’s actually happening.

People have always been easy to manipulate. Especially in the type of social and ideological isolation the internet age has brought about. That’s why most city people are less right wing. Hard to villainize groups of people when you interact with them daily. Also hard to isolate into ideological containers when you interact with varied points of view contrary to your bubble.

My point is that it’s not “hyper” capitalism - it’s just normal capitalism. Capitalism is a bad system that must be tempered by a lot of socialism and government controls to work for society. Hyper capitalism sort of implies it’s an extremist version of that system, but it’s not. In the past, humanity started out using more standard capitalism (what you are calling hyper capitalism) and workers rose up to create unions and pushed governments to create socialist systems to temper the inherent abuses the capitalism. Many people argue pure capitalism will regulate itself through the markets and we don’t need unions and government controls at all. So I think calling what the USA has as “hyper capitalism” implies its somehow an anomaly of that system. I think that misrepresents the inherent societally deductive nature of the capitalist system. Also, I would argue what the USA has leans more towards crony capitalism.

Trump doesn’t care about Venezuela. Gas companies want Venezuelan oil reserves. This is all because president for hire Trump wants to appease his donors.

“Hyper” capitalism is just capitalism at its root without strong government controls. Capitalism leaves larger and larger groups out - that’s how it works. Capitalism is designed to have winners and losers and without socialism to pick up those left out, they are ground under the system to death. The capitalism we’ve all known has always been heavily regulated (even if it’s becoming less regulated). Past capitalism always relied on exploiting the lower classes, immigrants, or slavery. Capitalism working as a self contained system has always been a pipe dream.

In the end, the problem stems from billionaires. They created the right wing propaganda machine that caused this far right authoritarian rise. They did it recklessly only to increase their own power. Billionaires can no longer exist. Capitalism is failing. We need a new path forward.

I feel you and I’m not mad at that - just saying chances are you can’t shoot all the guys in ICE before they shoot you. Most people don’t want to die. Resisting a force as large and organized as the government takes guerrilla tactics.

Ice also has guns and they don’t roll in by themselves. They roll four or more deep most of the time on home raids. Even people with guns don’t want to get shot themselves. The way ICE rolls in without warning, most people aren’t locked and loaded in mass sitting in their homes. I’m sure the people there weren’t expecting that excessive action. Most Americans don’t wanna die in a government fire fight if they can help it. You have to be alive to claim self defense, and our government’s so corrupt it’s not a guarantee you’ll win. As deep as ice rolls into these type of situations, it’s not like they won’t have back up to take you out if you do happen to take a couple of them out. Trump will back ICE if they use any excessive force.

Apps give way too much access to phone data, whether the developer collects it or not. As you said, Apple has access and has capitulated to the Trump fascist regime already. The app leaves enough fingerprint for them to use. A Web app is just a safer and more available option.

This shouldn’t be on the app store. It gives the US government too much access to pull data from it, or order it pulled down. This should be a web app hosted outside the US that can be accessed by any device and can be obscured by VPN access so the regime can’t persecute participants. Apps pull way too much data from phones that ICE can subpoena.
