Click bait title aside, I legit wouldn’t have thought that was illegal. Certainly not arrested and in jail illegal.

There are beaches where bones wash ashore regularly, from old shipwrecks, battles, failed immigrations, or drug runners, and nobody cares.

That’s funny there’s only one in my town, and it’s facing the Lowes parking lot.

It’s burnout. They see the headlines everyday, and the flowers just don’t seem as bright as they used to.

Far cry 5 gives the opposite experience. You get railroaded into missions, but can do whatever you want to during them.

While getting pushed into missions is a bit irritating, the open gameplay and drop in co op made it one of the most fun games out there. Finding ways to break missions with my friends turned into the real objective of the game.

One portion, you have to scale a mountain while dodging sniper fire to kill a cult leader at the top, and I spent 15 minutes slowly making my way up to him. As I finally get to the top, before I could make the kill, a friend dropped in and crashed a fighter jet into him, completing the mission.

Not the original commenter, but what theirs saying stands true. The issue of “sounds legit” is the main driving force in misinformation right now.

The only way to combat it is to truly gain the knowledge yourself. Accepting things at face value has lead to massive disagreements on objective information, and allowed anti science mindsets to flourish.

Podcasts are the medium that I give the most blame to. Just because someone has a camera and a microphone, viewers believe them to be an authority on a subject, and pairing this with the “sounds Legit” mindset has set back critical thinking skills for an entire population.

More people need to read Jurassic park.

I see this opinion fairly often, and it honestly confused me. My rig is not a showcase by any means, and I had no issues with sh2 or dead space.

I’m thinking more people need to optimize their OS.

I have no experience with it and can’t claim to know, but the privacy advocate in me tells me it can use everything because it wants access to everything so it can datamine from every app at once.

Again, I don’t know this specific app, but literally every other non Foss app is just a front for granted permissions.

A good point, but I do like the observation that the only problems Nissan has are with the two most important parts of a vehicle.

Conversation, mostly. By the time I quit reddit around two years ago, every top comment was a repost of a previous joke, or some predictable mutation of one.

Anything that went against the common preconceptions was shutdown immediately. I’m an expert/professional in a few niche subjects, and the final nail in the coffin for me was any comment I made turning into a fruitless debate with armchair experts too dumb to even understand why they were wrong, while correct info was downvoted to invisibilty.

None of this helps you crosspost, I’m aware.

I use an add on called noscript. It’s a little scorched earth, but I hardly notice it now that it’s set up.

So I’d cut Google out entirely for the last year or so, but I still haven’t found a good search engine. DDG has been my go to, but it’s not great, and this old style Google seems to be close to how things were before all search engines sucked ass. Do you have any recommendations for alternatives?

I don’t know about samsungs, but Sony and any android or Google TV is a breeze to hack. Vizio and lg are a pain in the ass but they can be done, so I would assume someone smarter than me has figured it out and posted a tutorial

The description of that device and subscription is so fucking stupid I’m not even mad. If you fell for it that hard, you deserve whatever they throw at you.
