Yep it does! I prefer the step options because I don’t mess with brightness very much. If I bump it and it changes it’s easier to reset imo

The standard SC21 is what I carry when off work. I like how it perfectly fits the small pocket watch/zippo pocket on jeans.

I went with the warmer color temp (27k I think?) to see how I liked it compared to the cold white light that my work Streamlight has. I definitely like how gentle and cozy it is, very similar to incandescent flashlights which is great for what I use it for.

Yeah this little guy is obviously going to be outperformed by bigger lights but the light you use is the one you have with you. It makes it easy to keep it on me.

Shadows of Doubt! Its this sci fi noire game where you play as a cop that became a private eye detective. Their police force was replaced with privatized “enforcers” that uphold the policy of the new corporate government.

You solve crimes the enforcers won’t and take on side jobs to stay alive, upgrade your apartment and build enough social credit to retire to “the fields”- a suspiciously utopian retriement zone far away from the grime, storms and thick smog of the city.

This is an immersive sim. Kind of like a procedurally generated Deus Ex. You can interact with a lot of stuff turn on sinks, open cabinets, read email and newspapers, eat food, watch tv and drink alcohol until you can barely stand.

When it comes to solving crime you can sift through camera footage, take fingerprints, crawl through air ducts, ask people for information, hack into govt databases and more. You put all of the clues on a big conspiracy board in the menu until you find the murderer and bring them in…before they kill again.

Late to the party but what the heck, story time. So once upon a time on a military trip we had to shower in small shipping container like units. There was a whole row of them all powered by a generator.

The living quarters were communal so to leave to go shower I had to use my trusty light (Streamlight Protac 2L-X) coving up the low beam with my hand to keep it dim enough to see but not wake anyone.

Anyway so this generator failed while I was showering. The water pressure/temp would still be good for a few minutes but no lights. So reached out of the shower, turned on the streamlight, pointed the beam at the ceiling and finished up. I’m glad I brought it with me! Hearing the stories about the guys who normally used phone lights had to fumble their way out of the shower containters were funny to listen to though!

As for my home shower, some family gifted us warm light LED night lights from AUVON and they are great for the candlelit spa vibe!

Stardew Valley and Kingdom Come Deliverance are the two big ones at the moment. I’ve played both a bit at a time for a while now.

Stardew Valley needs little introduction. It’s a beautiful gem of an indie game. I’m in fall of year two and just getting used to married life and making that sweet sweet gold making wine and jelly.

Kingdom Come Deliverance is an awesome RPG in a non-fantasy medieval setting. You’re the son of a blacksmith and your town is burned by a massive army leaving you a refugee seeking to avenge your parents. You’re no war hero or chosen one, just a man trying to find his place in the beautiful but uncertain world…and maybe learn to read while he’s at it

I think that improving your resilience as an individual citizen is important. I’m not saying the zombie robots are coming, but that if the climate is getting worse (it is) and local weather also gets worse (it will, just a matter of how much) you can’t count on food, water, power etc to be on hand 100% of the time.

It’s amazing how many people act like having a small garden, a solar panel to charge devices and some jugs of water just in case is some unspeakable crazy talk
