24·12 days agoIn a functioning democracy, a vote should be secret by default, and that should be the social expectation. If you wanna tell people, sure, but not in a way where your actual vote can be proven.
I’ve always used anti-abortion. Pro-life just isn’t an accurate descriptor, and a “pro-life protest”, or a “pro-life bill” seem like undeserved euphemisms considering what they want. Outlawing executions would be a pro-life bill.
Anti-choice is good too.

They’re pretty easy to not engage with, and for me they felt less awkward than almost any other video game sex scene.
People always focus on the romances, but I feel like you could take them out completely and still have pretty much the same great game.
Sure, but I get what they mean. Sometimes you have a minority character that doesn’t very much seem to interact with the plot, nor has many discernable personality trait beyond being part of a minority.
Representation matters, but it should be done in a way that makes the characters actual people, not just a tick in a checkbox.
Apologies for being slightly tasteless, but - investigators reportedly heard food had allegedly been handled by an individual known to be ‘full of shit’ in a recent incident.

Yeah, I’ve tried from a lot of different VPN locations. Wasn’t able to find any DW is blocked in.
Do they? To my knowledge, providing news for the world is pretty much their declared purpose.

1·2 months agoWhile valve has a lot of deserved goodwill, that’s always the problem - they’re well-behaved, but set up in a way in which the customer has no leverage if they where to change their approach tommorow.
Good thing drm-free games run just as well on the steam deck.
1·2 months agoThat’s why I stopped using it. They require a phone number, phone numbers require kyc with an ID around here, and there’s just too much illegal shit on there.
It’s of course possible to get a more pseudonymouy experience, but honestly, what they offer isn’t worth the hastle.
Is the VR streaming in the Local net (PC to Headset)? Just run the WiFi router without plugging it into the wall. Connect only the pc and the headset.
Also, appart from that, to use more wired devices, maybe use an unmanaged switch. Don’t think that does anything forbidden here.

There’s a whole bunch of such surrealist art, and while me being a rather lazy student for most things art history means I have no idea whether there’s a better name for it, or how connected the artists behind them are, I still tend to find them rather fascinating.
Also, I’m not saying that surrealist art must necessarily miss a narrative throughline, though it’s true here.

I cancelled Spotify when they started pushing podcasts in my music app, with no way to turn it off.
Why pay for a service that actively pushes you towards stuff you don’t want? Especially if there’s alternatives that cost the same and … don’t do that.
