I’m not really into playing 4x games multiplayer. But I did play Stellaris multiplayer. It can get pretty frantic if you don’t pause every now and then, but a far cry from boring.

About damned time. I was checking the LGBT travel advisories a few months ago, and was surprised that the US was green. Absolutely no way should anyone be travelling to Florida.
When your overton window has fallen off the bloody table.
Yeah, you should only get your news from right wing media owned by oligarchs. That’s how you know it’s true.
I already blocked him. I’m native and I’m somewhat used to hearing this nonsense. But it still doesn’t do good things for me, and he has nothing useful to say anyway. It’s all debate perversion with a hard on for colonialism. Anyone with half a brain should be able to see that it’s just a lame attempt to justify the subjugation of Hawaii.
I confused you with the other fascist above, whose post I was replying to.
Hawaii was annexed in 1898. So, why dredge up anger at the conquest over 100 years later?
You’re just here sealioning on an attempt to justify ethnic cleansing. The Holocaust comparison is NOT a false equivalence by the way. Hitler was inspired by the US.
Because you are saying it was 100 years ago, so your crimes no longer matter. The holocaust is coming up on 100 years ago now as well. I’m guessing that all the peoples murdered by the Nazis should just get over it and start loving the fascists now as well?
As for your garbage referendum, see my reply to your other post with this garbage.
I think it’s more than a little dishonest to say that the native Hawaiians voted for this. At the time of this referendum, they composed about 15% of the population and their culture and identity had been suppressed for generations.
The US government even admitted in 1993 that the native people never agreed to this.
When did they vote to join? They fought pretty hard to keep their rightfully elected government.
First of all, that’s not at all a reasonable reply to my comment. Second, how the hell do you have the gall to openly post this fascist garbage for all the world to see?
They did before they were conquered. Why is that so hard to imagine now?
Now you have some idea of how we feel on Reddit. The difference here is that karma doesn’t matter. And hexbearers can’t even downvote your comments anyway. You’re just complaining that you have to listen to another point of view.
I didn’t spend too much time on it, and it could probably be done better. I just used free web tools to download the video and autogenerate subtitles. The text at the section I mentioned says this:
с азиатами наизусть меньше и меньше культура и
ценности нашей ключевой минус России.
Fed into google translate, we get this:
with Asians by heart less and less culture and
the values of our key disadvantage of Russia.
Again, results weren’t great (which is why I didn’t post them the first time. Someone with more time on their hands could do better). But it hits a lot of the same words as the native speaker’s quote, and it seems to indicate something racist is being said. The first auto-subtitler I used was completely useless, the second was “good enough” for my purposes. I have no reason at all to believe that the original translation was fake, and this didn’t contradict the original translation.
If I were to try a third time, I would probably upload it to youtube and try using their tools, but I didn’t really want to upload it to my youtube account. Google’s natural language processing is pretty good.
Now you see, THIS is whataboutism. The point here is that we have a leader in the current Ukrainian government who comes out and says that he considers Russians to be subhuman. You come up with a baseless claim that we think all Ukrainians are nazis. We think that the current government of Ukraine is dangerously far right and descended from actual nazi collaborators. You don’t want to hear it because it doesn’t fit your world view.
You might also be interested that I translated it using AI. Results weren’t great, but language used around the 26 second mark matches the translation in the tweet pretty well. You can do this yourself instead of just calling it fake and lashing out at the left.
You said the quiet part out loud. The USA really does represent a gangster.
You might be a fan of this guy
Listing data for 2023 as proof of me lying. Cute. How about going back a couple of years? But no, I’m lying about everything, and Cuba not being able to buy parts they needed is totally their fault. I’m done with this. You can continue defending your murderous country in peace.
Not being able to trade in USD is a huge issue, as it means you are blocked from SWIFT. When it’s stated that you have to use a different currency, it means a whole different trading mechanism. Which may or may not exist/work for your business. And if the US decides to cut your access to SWIFT completely, then you’re effectively out of business.
You could argue that the US should not have this much power over world trade, and I would agree with you. But you’re not. You’re blaming the Cubans for not being able to buy the replacement parts they needed, because the US totally isn’t interfering with their trade. Not to mention the absolute inhumanity of this position. When the US suffered from hurrican Katrina, Cuba didn’t hesitate to offer aid. When Cuba’s main oxygen plant breaks during a pandemic? Apparently the American people show their humanity by cheering. And you feel this is just. I feel like you’re just being willfully obtuse at this point.
How so? The existence of trade does not disprove the US blockade. Your own selected quote even states that you risk US sanctions if you trade with Cuba. This is NOT referring to US companies.
The risk of US sanctions can create uncertainty and businesses, especially banks, sometimes find themselves caught between conflicting legal requirements. UK companies, small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in particular, have for example encountered problems in payments to/from Cuba being blocked by UK banks.
We recommend that companies with extensive US interests which are interested in doing business with Cuba seek independent legal advice. We advise potential investors to read the advisory notes regarding US regulations on the OFAC website.
That’s what they eventually did. They do that with other countries as well.
