I can see how plague rats would be a uniquely ideal demographic for scammers. They’re incredibly stupid and very loud about it. They probably don’t even have to try very hard to find these marks. So zero sympathy for them. I feel terrible for the medical professionals that are being impersonated to commit these crimes though. Andre Braugher was a very talented guy. Getting him on Brooklyn Nine-Nine was a huge win and without Homicide: LotS his comedic turn wouldn’t have been funny in and of itself. As much as I like the entire cast of Brooklyn Nine-Nine I think he was the only actor whose character would have turned out wildly different if it had been played by someone else.
