  • Yeah, well I am guessing he wasn’t talking to Putin about electric cars or Twitter.

Starlink + Twitter = propaganda mills deliver him Ukraine

How he launches those satellites has nothing to do with our exchange unless I missed something.

I’m simply pointing out that any platform to influence public opinion and dialogue is likely of great interest to Russia. That’s kinda their schtick

Edit: but yes I absolutely think it’s absurd that they didn’t pull his clearance and sanction him both directly and indirectly. It’s just that Twitter gives Putin an edge in having Trump elected, in which case Trump extracts retribution for ‘being caught’ by witholding Ukraine funding in an attempt to gather intel on Biden. If Trump wins he’s gonna want nothing more than to see Ukraine crushed. Putin wants Ukraine and it’s a very easy opportunity

  • I can see why the ESA would want to defend IP but it should sadden everyone that they’re basically taking thousands upon thousands of titles of abandonware hostage in order to protect a couple hundred that might possibly have some value on the Playstation or Nintendo store or as a bundle on PC at some point in the future.

I used to download abandonware from the mid 80s, monochrome CRPG type stuff, back in the late 90s. Kinda bummed that most of them are probably just gone at this point. CRPG and blobbers, bygone era.

Shame on the Entertainment Software Association, not giving a damn about software.

  • They behave exactly like black mold. They start coalescing in some adjacent space and suddenly BOOM. Online storefront, starts hosting its own servers, that becomes part of the business. Starts building out warehouses, that becomes part of the business. IoT things that run on their servers, then cameras, gobbles up Blink. They even had a pilot project for restaurant delivery, we’ll probably see that again once they can tie it into their parcel delivery fleet
