completely agree. and it’s even more insidious when you take into account how he’s spent the past 6 years bragging about how he has a salary of $0 because he’s “only working for the betterment of humanity” or some nonsense like that.
Board chair Robyn Denholm wrote in a letter included in the regulatory filing: “Elon has not been paid for any of his work for Tesla for the past six years… That strikes us, and the many stockholders from whom we already have heard, as fundamentally unfair.”
Musk’s compensation for 2023 was $0, the filing showed, as the billionaire does not take a salary from the company and is compensated through stock options.
it’s so unfair that elon hasnt gotten a single pay check and has instead had to settle for making billions off of his stock options. think of all the mega yachts and social media companies he could’ve bought if only he had been paid a salary.
it’s worth mentioning that very rarely is baby formula better than breast milk. the contents of breast milk change depending on the what the child needs at the moment. it’s really sick that some companies market it as a better option than breast milk

Everybody knows what free speech means.
i really dont think so.
free speech is a pretty complicated thing and i feel like many people dont have a solid grasp on it. i think a good number of people think they know what free speech means because they know “it only applies to what the government can do to you”, but there’s quite a bit more to it than that. like how to deal with hate speech, threats, misinformation, disinformation, etc.
and this is directly related to the problems twitter is facing: elon musk started out by saying hes a “free speech absolutist”, but twitter has been slowly rediscovering why “free speech absolutism” doesnt work. and you can see those discoveries in real time with twitter reintroducing moderation policies (among other things)
Why?

yeah but how many of them are bullet trains?
can you provide sources for these claims?
i have not been able to find any conclusive evidence on fluoride being a carcinogen. in fact, im finding many reputable sources saying that’s still an open question.
i also can’t find a reliable source on the IQ claims.
the other claims are also fairly dubious as well.
can we compromise on drinking raw milk with flouride added?
sometimes asking a computer to add and multiply numbers is just too hard
as is often the case with conservative politics, it’s a trade off between real-world negatives and hypothetical positives.
maybe they could use it to fund social programs and help their citizens?
who’s the podcaster in question? i’ve been looking for a new podcaster to listen to
i think this has a lot to do with it.
and i think he’s also boosted a lot by the fact that he doesn’t really communicate that many original thoughts. instead, it seems like he tends to blindly agree with whoever he has on camera. so he simultaneously cultivates these personas of “having intellectual curiosity” while also being a stand-in for the average college dorm bro.
(i’m not trying to defend him here, he still causes serious harm by platforming bad actors and endorsing their views.)
theyre getting dangerously close to seeing him slam his fist on a table
other people have given good answers to this question but i think it’s worth saying that this isn’t a dumb question. it took a lot of smart people and thousands of years to figure out that time passes at different speeds in different parts of the universe. it’s not intuitive at all.
if they use an LLM to make the suggestions then it’s possible it ends up suggesting websites that don’t even exist. or it could accidentally suggest a malware website, or make a typo, etc.
this could be dangerous if they aren’t very careful
