Not really. Most large story DLCs for any Bethesda game require all expansions. I suspect it’s for assets, but I would also just pick the largest use case (and already owning the expansions most certainly is the largest use case) and say it’s a requirement also, so I’m not chasing down edge cases for people all day. Just the rough math of releasing something you have to support afterwards.

They didn’t do one in this case, but I have heard stories of these sorts of malicious actors paying people stateside or elsewhere to take the video interviews. I’ve had to do ID checks on video in recent-ish interviews.

Have any decent sources on that regret or harm done that aren’t debunked by myriad other reputable sources? Scientists research all kinds of unpopular things, so it should be easy to show.

Last year, I did another trilogy playthrough as FemShep while I also happened to be playing Guild Wars 2 as a Sylvari woman. My double take when I realized was pretty funny. Jennifer Hale is supremely talented and she lends an air of gravitas without getting into comical over-acting. She just has a perfect voice for a badass!

This is the second time I’ve seen right wing talking points associated with this game and it’s so pathetic to try and use that to cover over your middling review scores. I mean, you run a business. If you’re not going to self-reflect on why your product didn’t do as well as you thought, not sure you’re being honest with yourself on why your product failed. That same thinking would have been present in the design and development process, preventing their product from ever getting any better. One of those reasons companies even pay lip service to DEI: it genuinely brings fresh perspectives and refines your art and product.

Anyway, I even liked this game. It’s honestly pretty fun and the zombie hordes are relatively unique for the genre. The main character isn’t some right-wing asshole and even comes off as pretty empathetic and kind, if I remember correctly. It just came out at a time of open world oversaturation and played into almost every trope of the time. I think if it came out today, (and they managed to not show their ass online) it would do a lot better. As usual, the right-wing malding is weird on top of being gross and unnecessary.

That’s what populism is. Rule of the uneducated, driven by nothing but passion. It’s a legal mob, ripping through the government with pitchforks and torches. I think horseshoe theory is shit, but this is why it exists. Populists don’t rule with law, they rule with anger. That’s the one time I’ll agree with “both sides”, even if I’m likely gonna be on the side that would “win” under a populist left gov. If there is anything the last decade has given me, it’s a burning displeasure with populists who refuse to measure their passions with law and the ideals behind it.

Conspiracy theories, “XINOs”, the uni party, “the votes are rigged”. Where have I heard all of this before? Oh right, MTG. I’ll pass on this populist drivel, thank you. And for fucks sake can we all just let MLK rest in his fucking grave instead of trotting him out for every unrelated argument online?

Patently untrue at the executive level. Each of the last presidential elections was easily winnable by the other candidate. Even Bush v Gore was avoidable if more people in Florida voted blue. Our elections for representatives are fucked by gerrymandering, but that does not factor into our current Supreme Court who made this decision. Fact of the matter is, if more people would have voted for Hillary (and we all know the tiny margins by now) we would have reproductive rights, empowered federal agencies, and a healthier democracy. We just failed and we need to self-reflect on that instead of just throwing our hands up and saying “rigged” and I would hope after the last few years, everyone can understand why.

My condolences. I don’t like giving away personal info on these sites, but I lived in a similar environment for a roughly similar period of time. I know how draining it can be and I’m glad it sounds like you escaped like I did.

All good, friend. I just think this is possible for us to defeat, even at the ballot box. The American people are powerful when they decide to wield their votes for the actual, true betterment of the country and our democracy. I really think we can do this, together.
