There are several projects to build a game engine in rust. The one I hear about most is Bevy. No experience with any of them personally

The time and money cost of installing wifi is probably pretty different from the cost of installing EV fast chargers
You forgot water in your list of things it doesn’t have
Gotta find a nice fest with good vibes they’re still out there just not all over Instagram
Care to elaborate?
Climate doomerism at it’s finest. If everyone waits for the biggest polluters to stop before they do anything we’ll never get anywhere.
Also fuck this CNBC article for comparing their collection of billionaires to France which is one of the most nuclear powered countries and appears like a big western country but doesn’t have nearly the emissions of the US.
Finally, the climate impact of meat is well known one cited study suggests the average American can save a good amount of carbon emissions by going plant based. Sure it’s not a large percentage of total emissions but those emissions aren’t going away even if billionaires do. The solution is both creating policy that stops the ultra rich from polluting so much as well as personally reducing emissions from consumption in everyday life.
Yeah I fucking know that
You’ve got the same energy as the “I don’t care if people are gay but I don’t want to see it and I don’t want them to indoctrinate kids” crowd
Wonder if we can use this to infer something about the thin blue line, back the blue folks…
Yeah but it’s not 100% effective so I don’t think the commenter you’re replying to is able to comprehend. I’ve decided that the people who say that about the vaccine don’t understand risk as a percentage or chance at all.
The most frustrating part of the pro office talking points for me is the line about meeting in person being easier. My team is spread across four states, I’m either on a zoom meeting at my house where there is always a quiet room from which to take a meeting at a comfortable desk. Or I’m in the office, an open office with hot desks where you can’t leave keyboards, mice, computers, etc overnight and you have to reserve a conference room to take a zoom meeting (all meetings). Now I’m wasting time setting up my desk every day, reserving rooms for all my meetings, kicking people out of the rooms I reserved. Huge loss of productivity for the Corp. I’m not staying late because you wasted so much of my time, I gotta hit the road to beat traffic.
What? A parasocial relationship is about media figures and the imagined relationship that their audience/fans have with them. The internet isn’t relevant at all although it’s where most are formed in this day and age.
All sorts of people have strong friendships built online. A parasocial relationship is when someone watching YouTube feels like they actually know Mr Beast.
I’ll never understand how people don’t think guaranteed healthcare is the ultimate freedom. So many people locked in to jobs they hate because of health insurance. That’s not freedom, it’s practically indentured servitude.
The fact that myocarditis and pericarditis are side effects of the vaccine, although rare, is pretty well disseminated. There’s even a page on the CDC website about it
This page does still recommend vaccination but I have heard of some doctors discouraging it for young men due to their low risk of COVID complications. COVID itself carries a generally higher risk of both conditions which is why I’ve heard people should get vaccinated anyways.
This user isn’t fear mongering. They seem to just be confused about why exactly their doctor recommended they forgo vaccination.
I’ve told two friends who were considering driving for Uber that it’s sort of like taking equity out of your vehicle (yes I know vehicles aren’t an asset really but for the purpose of this example it helps to think about their value as equity) in the form of lifespan and maintenance and putting it in to your pocket.
It’s okay to say fuckin on Lemmy.
There definitely are. My partner has Netflix, Prime, Peacock, and the Disney plus bundle. I feel like it isn’t that uncommon of a scenario tbh.
Can they really count internet costs which most people would need even if they weren’t streaming?
Apple won’t let anyone adopt iMessage
I don’t have it on my iPad yet…
