Social Security Numbers are such a weird thing. Over here we’ve got an official rijksregisternummer that you get assigned at birth by the state and can be used to identify you. For some reason the USA decided that something like this is against their Freedoms ©®™, but when an agency gave people numbers for something completely different, that was never build to identify everyone in the country, everyone decided this is great to identify everyone in the country, so now everyone uses this system for something it was never built for.
These are valid complaints tho.

But why? I get that it’s bad that Mozilla has to except money from Google and such to fund their development, but Firefox and Thunderbird are damn nice pieces of software that are way better than anything else on the market.
I want them to disappear.
So you want Google to have a true monopoly over the browser market?

Yeah, the weekly sacrifices I have to do, are taking a toll on me
Can confirm, I’m ginger.
These large companies really need to learn that AI isn’t a good tool for black and white decisions.
Right now I’m working on a system with drones and image recognition for farmers to prioritise where to use pesticides, in order to decrease the use of pesticides in the EU. For these things AI systems work really well, since it’s just prioritising regions.
It’s a bad idea to use it to make discrete decisions.
I think Verlan is pretty neat. We had a full lesson on it in middle school because of one of our country’s most popular musicians, Stromae, which is Verlan for Maestro.
Russia launched a large scale invasion in a neighbouring country, making it pretty clear they are in the wrong. Furthermore, as someone who lives in a European country, I hope my country keeps supporting Ukraine. At least as European countries we need to be one block against the aggressor. As the US is an important ally with a lot of military capability, I hope they keep following us in our support for Ukraine.
