It’s not just for Samsung phones, it works perfectly on my Pixel and Razer Phone as well. The Adblocking is okay but the design + the dark mode for all websites is the killer feature for me.

Return of Obra Dinn. Low power but high aesthetics. One of the most unique gaming experiences I’ve ever had and quite perfect for the Deck.

1·1 year agoI just started playing Max Payne 3, which released in 2013. The game aged well, still looks great and a ton of fun.
On a related note, the Steam Deck is the perfect platform for Patient Gamers. It runs these older titles really well, and the portability + ability to suspend / resume games at any time is a game-changer (pun intended).
Death Stranding.
I’ve actually had this game kicking around for a while, never gotten into it until I got a Steam Deck this year and have not been able to put it down since.
The game really resonated with me, especially after having been through the pandemic and surviving the same isolation and longing for connection that fundamentally underpins plot of the game. The characters are amazing (great cast - Norman Reedus and Mads Mikkelsen are just stellar in their roles), the world is vast, cinematic and often scary, and the gameplay mechanics are so deep that I’m still learning new things after 50+ hours into the game. So much to unpack. There is also a fair bit of weirdness, humor and cheese mixed in that is signature Kojima, that cracks me up once in a while.
It is truly an unique game and one of a kind experience. Nothing really like it.

Make sure you try Alan Wake American Nightmare and Control as well. Brilliant games.

Favorite thing: the ability to suspend a game anytime, and pick up exactly where you left off.
Least favorite thing: a tie between the weight and the weak battery life. Never have my hands been so numb after extended sessions on the Steam Deck.
