Project Zomboid!! I love this game. I go through bursts of being addicted to it for a couple of months and then dropping it for several months before picking it back up again. Excited for Build 42!

As a Texan who has no pride in their state at all and is actively making plans to move to a different state, I strongly disagree.
It was apparently in the ToS that they hold the right to run background checks on hosts and renters alike, when they choose to. Granted, it’s not an in-depth check, but any criminal records that are accessible to the public are accessible to them.
It’s funny - I’m often in charge of booking the stay for large family get togethers and trips, and I exclusively used AirBnb. However, after using their service for 6+ years, they ended up canceling a reservation I had had for months THE NIGHT BEFORE OUR TRIP. I didn’t even realize they had canceled on me til our plane had landed.
Turns out, they suddenly had a problem with a misdemeanor I had been charged with 8 years prior when I was 20 (minor possession of marijuana). They disabled my account and said I couldn’t rent through them anymore because of my criminal history. I reached out to them and offered an explanation, as well as reminding them that this was an old conviction of a minor drug possession. I don’t have a criminal record beyond that, and had been an avid customer of theirs for many years with raving reviews. They still denied me, and I’m still banned to this day. So yeah, they can go fuck themselves.
Castlevania Symphony of the Night.
My brother had a string quartet play one of the songs at his wedding. It was so beautiful.
I think January 6 proved that they are more willing to take extreme measures. The tension has been noticeably increasing.
I have so many beautiful memories of playing BioShock. What a game. BioShock 2 was exciting, although not as good as the first one (to me), but very cool that I got to play as a Big Daddy. BioShock Infinite was just great - elements of the base game, but a genuinely fresh story that didn’t feel forced (ahem Bioshock 2…).
All that to say that this hurts to read. BioShock meant/means so much to me. I hate the current state of the gaming industry.
I think you’re right that this won’t change much in terms of how people vote, but I believe it will greatly increase the tension between MAGA Republicans and everyone else. It seems probable that there will be some form of violent outburst from them.
Noo that’s the wrong direction
I remember feeling this way about the cut scenes in Dante’s Inferno on Xb360.
Nah, I didn’t read the headline thinking that they were sharing links with each other. It read to me like he and his son are holding each other accountable for how often they pleasure themselves with porn, and that’s incredibly fucking weird and inappropriate. While I think it’s generally a positive thing to be open and honest with your children, there is definitely a line. And this totally crosses that.
Thanks for the correction and explanation!
For real, had to read it like 3x to understand. The amount of commas in the OP title is just unnatural. I might even do:
No Okta, it was senior management - not an errant employee - that caused you to get hacked.
If that’s wrong, then I have no idea what hyphens are for lol.
I can’t speak to Copeland’s character, but regardless, I think you misunderstood what OP was saying. There was zero attack on Copeland. They were drawing a parallel between Hitler’s peeps being homophobic to the point that they executed a close ally for being gay so as not to ruin Hitler’s image, and the Republican party outing this man for cross dressing, which led to his suicide.
Yes, many of us agree that Christianity is also not a model religion (if there even is such a thing). Not sure what the point is in bringing that up in a discussion about an Iranian teen being murdered for not wearing a hijab.
I agree that the older American generations had this whole thing where they said the US is the greatest country in the world, but as an American millenial, I certainly don’t feel that way. And I haven’t met too many Americans in my generation or younger that genuinely feel that way (granted, maybe this is cause I don’t have any MAGA friends). Those of us that don’t follow the train wreck that is Trump are very aware of our country’s deep flaws and corruptions, and like virtually every other country that has corruption, there’s little the people can do. I vote, and I encourage others to vote, but not a whole lot I can do about the rich driving this country into the ground.
I can tell you just naturally dislike Americans and think we’re all the same, but maybe consider the fact that none of us can control where we were born, and many of us don’t have the luxury of just moving out of the country. So please don’t assume that living in the country you were born and raised in automatically means that you are ok with the decisions our overlords are making for us.
Agreed! She has the most wonderful smirk in the pic of her being carried off.
My god, it was right in front of us all along!!
I agree, but I’m concerned that this might stop some folks from seeking mental health care, when they otherwise might have.
