I had a dog that would hump stuffed animals, didn’t matter what kind of stuffed animal. Humans live by our culture, which is highly symbolic learned behaviour.

Also Diaspora.
A bit of dementia.
Ragnarök begins!
When I get to the bottom I go back to the top of the slide
Where I stop and I turn and I go for a ride
'Til I get to the bottom and I see you again
Yeah, yeah, yeah, ha-ha-ha!
There is a Jaol Rd around where I used to live in Canada, it’s the road the provincial jail is on.
I think it depends on the definition of own, if it can be sold to someone else who will then own it. If it doesn’t have value like that, then it is just something you have, like pocket lint.
I get that too, it can be difficult to get help. I try to ignore it and have been using Linux for about 15 years as an OS. I use Kubuntu on my laptop, but I’ve used Mint also. I’m thinking of changing back but it’s so much work, and there are a lot of other options I’d like to try.
I’ve had my network locked out as well, the first iteration of ProtonVPN I used would lock it out if you didn’t close the app before shutting down. I contacted Proton and they sent me the commands to unlock it, so I have them handy in a file. That problem was fixed, afaik, because I can shut down without exiting the app now. I haven’t had my comp suspend, Linux used to have a problem with suspend so I’ve stayed away from it. I haven’t had any problems with Proton otherwise, I used it on my Android as well, I have a paid plan.
I use it on my Linux laptop, there’s no port forwarding, dowloading works fine though, sometimes connects to peers to upload. I have dual boot so I have seen the Windows version, it’s much more sophisticated. I’ve checked for DNS leaks using one of the sites listed in another comment, no leaks.
I don’t know why I don’t have ad problems and errors like I’ve been reading for a while now. My laptop has Kubuntu with Proton vpn set to block ads, and just bare bones Brave with ad blocking set to whatever max in the settings. My phone is Android with FF and uBlock, and also Proton vpn. I haven’t been blocked or seen an ad, although I don’t use YouTube very much. If I open YT links on my phone, is there acutually ads there that I’m not seeing? I can open YT in FF and just get a home page, play a video uniterrupted. Lately tho, if I wanted to look up something specific I just used piped.video, but I was frustrated by a java error on piped for a bit, so thats when I started using just YT again, and like I said, I have’t seen any ads. I’m using piped again now.
I can remember when they banned not wearing your seatbelt when in an automobile. Not just the driver, but everyone. You weren’t even allowed to be in the car if there weren’t enough seatbelts. I think that ban went pretty well.
I think the first was back in 1920, The Rossums Universal Robots factory. It failed when the robots rose up and killed everbody.
So am I, but I don’t act like this.
It’s been a long time since I’ve been in Anthropology class, but this isn’t something we were taught academically. Cultural Anthro is all theory-based, academics get paid to publish theory arguments. Imo, biologically, women carried babies, men didn’t, there would have been associated cultural roles to accomodate this as successfully as possible. The idea that it’s popular theory this meant men hunted and women gathered is just sensationalist. It’s niether competely wrong nor completely right. There are elements of both throughout many cultures. It’s the idea that it’s all or nothing is wrong.
Basically, the r/ is replaced with an ! , the exclamation mark. Other comments give good examples of usage.
This is it, regarding Canada at least. I took a course called HIstory of Canadian Education, the education system in Canada was created because of rising hooliganism in cities, as rural couples moved into cities and took factory jobs, and left their children home to fend for themselves.
My account might be worth $50k? Any offers here? 1/2 price fire sale here on Lemmy, only $27k!
I’ve been using LibreWolf with uBO for a while, havent seen anything yet.
Three of the four arms sticking upwards don’t look like they’re attached to anybody. The one on the far left, that one is obviously attached to the guy there, but whose hand is he holding? That lady next to him? The arm is twisted around. And the two arms on the right side, they look disembodied, like they are props in a group photo. Weird.
USJD getting its slice of the grift.
