I don’t why tf anyone is even talking about infrastructure.
A non-zero number of people hate cars. The original comment that started this thread was insinuating that the existence of cars and public roads encourages drunk driving. It’s a brain dead, dumb-ass opinion. People can take prescription pills, get behind the wheel, and kill someone. The infrastructure doesn’t encourage or discourage any of these things. They want to demonize the infrastructure so they can justify ripping it out and making my bike to work when it’s 0 degrees and snowing.
Ignorance is bliss. America is not homogeneous. That might be a big word for you, but you have internet access, at least.
WTF kind of logic is that? Something that you choose to do is not creepy. If they took your pics without telling you, then it would be creepy.
Show me the stats to back that up.
Yes, this is a social media hit piece. MSM hates social media because it’s a way for the public to circumvent their lies. The entire article is based on (likely fabricated) anecdotal evidence:
“It’s really bizarre to me that everyone’s gone to this place in their mind that content has to be so curated,” Bruening told us. “So curated that you can’t show what you’re cooking for dinner, because that’s not cool enough.”
Everyone? Did they take a global survey? Do they see my instagram feed? This person just has shitty friends. Or they are lying.
The Pixel Pass is basically just a bundle of optional services that can be added to your Fi account for a very slight discount.
$300 over 2 years is not slight.
I understand completely. This is profiteering and another example of google killing a product I like. Fuck google. They finally got me to switch to an iphone after buying Nexus/Pixel for a decade. I’m switching out of spite.
I have been a lifelong googler. Owned every Nexus phone and Pixel until the Pixel 6, when I got Pixel pass. They finally made me mad enough to switch to an iphone. I dislike Apple very much, but I can rely on their services still being around 2 years after they launch.
Desalination does not require fossil fuels. It requires energy. Of which there are many forms. Some of those forms are renewable. It’s not an emergency measure. Desalination happens regularly, right now, today. Read a book.
We could desalinate ocean water with renewable energy. But that doesn’t help the idiots who think they are entitled to live in Arizona / the desert.
People can move.
Those areas, by force. Open a history book and stop trying to make political points with ridiculous hyperbole and flat out lies. People are not receptive to bad news when you intentionally and artificially make the news 10x worse by lying. Water usage is a serious problem. Yes. And there will still be a tomorrow.

Multiple things can be true at the same time. The art vandalism deserves to be put on blast. I would be surprised if it was a corporate mole because I heard those people talk and I believe them. They think they were justified.
The 2 stands for “two spirit”. And this is why some states had to pass laws.
Netflix gained 5.9 million subscribers in the same period.
This story is for virtue signaling morons who want to BELIEVE that the password sharing crackdown didn’t work.
It did. And now those losers are upset they can’t mooch off paying customers anymore. Hence the headline.
There is plenty they can do. They created this mess with their algorithm. They can undo it by changing it, again.
Google does not objectively score or rank a site based on what you are actually looking for. They rank based on how much time other people spend on the site. How many other sites link back to the site. They rank based on how many words are on the page, regardless of if that actually matters.
This is why when you google a recipe, all the top results are blog posts from soccer moms telling a life story about food. You don’t care about that stuff - you just want the recipe. But that’s what google cares about.
Google can change this.
I’d really rather see coverage of the exploits found in discord, zoom, slack, etc.
You intentionally clicked on this link.
You don’t need to personally give a shit. But you do need to be concerned with the world around you. Because it affects you. Unless you live in the woods, dug your own sewer system, and grew your own food. Then carry on being ignorant. Otherwise, you live in society.
Many people do care what the pope says. And the decisions those people make will affect you. Same with Trump and any other massively popular public figure.
Stimulants.
Caffeine doesn’t give you energy. Carbohydrates do. Caffeine blocks the chemical in your brain called “adenosine”, which makes you feel tired.
No, because I am using what I like.
