She is the typical Republican -“Oh, but I’m the exeption. Thats different.”- type. She also speaks out publicly and loudly against trans women in women’s sports and then turns around and plays a women’s golf tournament.

it took me out for 3 straight days
Count your blessings. Last time I had it (second time, vaxxed and boostered) it had me bedbound for nearly 3 weeks, 5 weeks until I could manage everyday life again normally. I never felt so sick in my life.
My dear French brothers and sisters, I’m so fucking proud of you. Maybe hope is not all lost yet. Let’s all take your example and make this the the new election trend.
Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité
But they will stop these evil immigrants from stealing my jobs and living of my tax money and destroying my culture…

Never was it that easy for me to take a stand. None of my money will ever go to Tractor Supply.
(I never even heard of them before and had to google if we have them here. They are US only)
If you can afford it, yes you can do this. You are allowed to live and work anywhere in the EU.
But if you also need a job to feed you, its more difficult if you do not speak the local language and have not learned something useful.
But from the residency law you absolutely can pack your bag and move to Germany tomorrow as an EU citizen.
the brain is pretty sturdy as long as the initial injury doesn’t kill you.
As a nurse, I’m confused at that sentiment. How on earth did you get there?
If the brain is damaged, it rarely gets much better after that. Unless you have just one mild concussion, brain injuries tend to more likely getting worse over time and rarely better.
Your brain is not just a broken bone that heals back together after a few weeks.
Maybe I wasn’t clear enough in my comment. Of course I don’t mean “The Jewish people” as a complete entity. I mean, Germany is unconditionally and it seems without critical thinking supporting Israel because their guilt towards Jewish people clouds their judgment.
Because of what we did, we can not show any critic or judgment towards Israel, because that’s “anti-semitic”. Which is a stance, that in my opinion actually harms any effort against anti-semitism.
Israel won’t stop until every non-Israeli person in Gaza is eliminated. The Nazis called this “ethnische Säuberung” (ethnic cleansing).
It’s like abused children grow up to abuse their children the same way. The evil cycle of viciousness and violence.
These days I am ashamed of Germany again. Our guilt towards the Jewish people blinds us so much, that we even support them doing the same to others as we did to them.
The piece, titled “There’s Nothing Loving About Dolly Parton’s False Gospel,” […]
“Parton’s version of love, which includes condoning immoral sexual behavior (‘be who you are,’ she’s said), is unaligned with God’s vision for humanity,” Andersen writes.
This is not a “Sorry, I didn’t mean it that way, I just framed it wrong.” This person meant exactly what she said.
“You give up, do as I say and I take everything” is not a peace negotiation. Its a renewal of his declaration of war.
While gaming tokens do turn up in the collection plates of Las Vegas churches, those churches (Catholic or Protestant) don’t all send them out to a “nearby Franciscan monastery” for sorting and redemption by designated “chip monks.” Churches generally accumulate gaming tokens until they each individually tab one or more of their workers to take the chips around to casinos and redeem them for cash.
It is true that one church in Las Vegas, the Shrine of the Most Holy Redeemer, once had a Franciscan friar on staff who made the rounds of casino cages and thus, in the fashion of the joke, he was dubbed “the chip monk.” Church Employees tasked with handling chip redemptions at various Las Vegas-area churches are sometimes also referred to as “chip monks” in furtherance of the joke, but they are neither real monks nor are they employed by monasteries that sort and redeem the tokens.
My main argument wasnt about money, but if you stop putting the burden of hild rearing soley on women and share these responsibilities equally they will be more willing to have children. In most cases, more rights for women meant they are paying for the privilige with double the work. Still doing all the work at home and all the work of having children in addition to the job they can now have and gives them a choice.
Yes of course Birthrate goes up, if you take away women’s agency and give them no choice. Take away the means to control family planing and make being a wife and mother the only survivable option. As it was for women in those centuries.
You want to live in a world, were women are again slaves and property of the men in the family and forced to be birthing machines and maids to their husbands?
Give women AND men the opportunity and means to stay at home for childcare and stop putting the burden solely on the women might actually help.
But I guess treating women like actual people and with equity is way too much to expect.
South Korea has a huge misogyny problem to the point where young women choose celibacy and staying single over marriage and family to escape their bad situation under the current patriarchy. They actively choosing not to have children, because men treat them like shit.
They have a problem with patriarchy and not with birth rates. Birth rates are just the symptom.
Seeing that there is a big trend in young Korean women to abstain from men, marriage and family, I’d say starting to treat women like actual people could very well make a difference.
But yeah, getting them into school earlier and probably indoctrinate them earlier into good obedient wives could work too.
As a European I think, Trumps closeness to Putin and fascism in general "“burns’ idea of US as leading democracy”.
Most of Irans military technology is unbelievable outdated, like they don’t even have reliable transportation for their most important polititicians and fly them around in rusty helicopters from 1979 (that crashes and kills the head of state). And the newer ones are just… like this. Like when you buy a fake imitation of the product you want and its just flimsy and faulty (and just falls over).
Doesnt that make the thought of them having nuclear weapons extra scary? Not even that they could use them intentionally, but how big is the chance they are stored, transported and handled properly.
How big is the chance they blow up half the world just by accident?
