Senior Hamas leadership is a separate entity from the al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, who does have authority to take action without authorization from Hamas (and does frequently). Which is why the escalation and assassination is a bit puzzling, but I do feel Hezbollah being brought into the conflict as a much stronger force is a good thing if it means the destruction of the occupation and genocide being committed by Israel.

That being said, best thing I ever did was set up a NAS a couple years ago. I seed all day long and build ratio on private trackers. I watch whatever I want in the quality I want via Plex.

I live next to a bridge with heavy traffic, a river, and train tracks on either side of said river. Thankfully the train only comes by once or twice a day on our side, but constantly over on the other one.

I got used to the noise relatively quickly after moving in, like maybe a month or two. I’m used to city noise though.

That being said, my eventual plan is to get some heavy wooden window shutters. I figure I can close them up in the colder months, and it should block some noise out. I do keep the windows open in the summer though, no A/C here.

FWIW, I’m still using a pixel 3A and don’t have plans to change anytime soon. They really do last for a long time.

Things like (old) fast charging and not having to charge it every day are what still blow my mind and feel like modern innovations to me. It’s still pretty responsive and fast enough for what I use it for. Sometimes my texts take a little to load anymore but I don’t really mind.

YMMV depending on what you want out of a phone I guess. I try not to look at my phone unless I have to for a text or call or email abymore. But I’ve been on this train since the Nexus 6P. If you want a solid, stable phone that lasts a long time and very little fluff or bloat, go pixel. The flexibility for custom ROMs and rooting and things is unmatched as well. I’ll continue to use this thing until I drop it down the street one day or it gets aggravating to use somehow

It’s one of those garbo “all-in-one” desktop screen things which is basically just laptop parts from like 2008 crammed in a monitor

I haven’t seen an ad on any of my devices in like 4+ years, nor have I paid for any monthly subscriptions.

Say what you’d like about Google and Android, I’m not exactly singing their praises or anything, but I don’t think that’s possible with Apple.
