That process was a bad joke.

Sadly political strikes have been forbidden here for a long time already.
They are Protestants. They already are as far as the Pope is concerned (IIRC).
Yeah, but he’d have to eat there. Don y’all have laws against cruel and unusual punishments over yonder?
Yeeeees. More Selaco content.
Seriously though, it’s great. Y’all should go and play it.
Didn’t read the article, did you?
Expensive mail.
Just double clicking on /etc/fstab opens it in the editor, I can write whatever I want and when I want to save it asks for authentication.
Anyways, what exactly do you think is the average user that can and should play around in system config files and can’t use the terminal at the same time?
After having watched an older video and some more recent ones, I definitely prefer his more recent, more structured ones. But maybe I just had bad luck with the old one being the Return of the King one.
Felt way too unstructured for my taste. But it was cool that he got Sean Astin for part the video. :D
He does provide a wonderful look into the weird world that is Russian games and their watniks.
Never watched MandalroeGaming to be honest. But maybe I should instead of watching Warlockcracy and Civvie yet again.
Warlockracy videos are always a treat!
There isn’t a reason the company couldn’t hire someone to do their job from an office in India or the Philippines either though.
Especially when they talk about fleeing the country.
They didn’t add all that many units, two per race. But they did have a great impact on the game (mostly).
Also, new campaigns for each race was awesome. The level editor not only brought many fun custom maps (I still think about that weird 300 map I played when I was 16), but ensured longevity of the game until this day by enabling new maps to be played in regular games.
I miss getting all this stuff with a game or expansion too.
Ego Draconis and Divine Divinity are best Divinities. Fite me!
Brood War.
Thanks. Didn’t bother to go look for it myself, as it is already well past midnight over here. But I’ll check it out after some sleep.
No, they surely didn’t just gain a foothold again. Many processes for “denazifizierung” were just a rubber stamping of the claims of the perpetrators. It’s so ridiculous and well known that the term “Persilschein” was coined because of it. High ranking judges in the federal courts were Nazi perpetrators that even by the standards back then never should have been able to hold a job in the justice system ever again.
Places like the BND or BfV were more like SS- and other Nazi perpetrator pension schemes. Himmlers daughter, glowing Nazi for her whole life, worked for the BND as a secretary in the 60s under a false name. And they knew who she was.
Also, a big part of the student protest in the late 60s also was that many of their professors were just plain Nazis. Law commentaries like the “Palandt” or “Schönfelder” were named after Nazis and the names just changed in 2021.
