Not anyone find it good to be called by first name. And japanese culture is very attach to last name naming or I should say family name cause their are placing it the other way around.

Not long ago, I was watching 5 skipable ads after 10 minutes of video on Viki. It was a time when they were distributing Korean and Chinese Drama at a pace no independent subtitle team would keep up. The shows were culturally interesting, they were a community spirit you could feel even when not participating in subtitling. The video player was good with nice features like learning mode and timestamped comment. It was an acceptable tradeoff. Today’s Viki and YouTube quality is barely sufficient for not favoring pirated website which have in the mean time greatly improved their user experience.

I do it every year. Maybe, we don’t have the same kind of walnuts but in my area walnut trees are common enough to go to the woods, find a place with a few trees and fill a 50L bag of nuts in an hour. Do it with two or three people, twice or thrice during the season and the whole extended family have enough walnut for regular consomption until the next automn. When dried properly the walnuts last up to 3 years in their shell. A bit less than 2 years shelled in an airtight box. You do a bunch of in fall and you break the rest progressively during the year, while watching TV.
