Still salty that we lost out on the conclusion of the DeusEx trilogy because Eidos Montreal ended up doing the Avengers game that no one even remembers or talks about now.

I thought the same about BotW. Between the lack of story by default (you have to search it out through specific pictures that you damn well be able to know the landscape and match it up) and the sparse music and themes of previous Zelda games. It felt like the SMB2 of Zelda games, you could have titled it something else with a different protagonist and it would have been its own game.
I know everyone likes to tout VR, but I really think that AR will be the sweet spot most people ultimately adopt. Add it into nice looking glasses (sorry Google Glass, not it) and have some sort of easier to use interface that can interact with your surroundings and that will take off.
Imagine being in a business meeting with a little pop up over each person’s head with their name, title and other interesting information you need to know. Or be at a baseball game and have similar stats pop up above each player’s head. Turn by turn directions overlaid directly on the street. There are endless possibilities (as long as the ads don’t get in the way, but even for them, imagine green screen billboards that can display unique ads too).
Had us in the first half, not gonna lie.
Dragon Ball FighterZ was just on sale on steam for 85% off including DLC. Nice to see that happen.
Oops. Didn’t read the way it was phrased. Long time Sync user.
I’m just waiting for post functionality, but this is the Sync that I know and love.
Yeah Sync hasn’t gone done yet, it’s been the instance which lately is lemmy.world being the target of DDoS attacks. When that happens I switch to an alternate account and things are running fine again, so it’s not Sync related.
Stop trying to throw statistics into sensational headlines!
Is this really any different from Spectre and other types of attacks? Except those targeted predictive execution.
Nation favors local incumbent, news at 11…
But, but, it’s contributing to the entropy of the universe!
Control is another thing. I can’t tell you the amount of execs I’ve heard say “they’re losing control of their company” or “I don’t feel I have the same control over my people”. It’s crazy that they think that. What do they think the past 3 years have been when they’ve gotten record profits “oh, but our profits would be even better if we had people back in the office”. Sadly no amount of data will override the entrepreneurial “it could always be more” what if that they throw out.
Keep going back much, much further. I remember hearing that phrase back in the early 2000s, and wouldn’t doubt it if if was referenced as early as 1999.
MHz refers to the samples per second, not the pitch. CD audio for example is 16-bit/44.1kHz. What that means is there are 16-bits of sampling (audio) taken 44,100 times per second. DSD on the other hand is 1-bit samples taken 11.2 million times per second, this is referred to as DSD256. What that translates to is a digital wave that looks a lot closer to an analog wave than a CD does. It has nothing to do with the frequency of listening in this case.

I’m loving people’s reactions Everytime this pops up.
It says you cannot change your home instance once you’re logged in.
How it’s implemented can vary, but you’re gonna take one of three approaches
The latter two can actually work with an unmanaged switch as long as you tag your vlans correctly. The key is having a router than can handle it.
For a split second I thought this was for Sync and went to search for it on the store.
I call them x-cretions. So you x-crete them.
