It’s specifically the US that calls main courses entrees. No clue why.

They’ve attacked ships from countries that have absolutely nothing to do with that conflict.
His blood is BLACK! Magnetic. Full of nanobots. Controlled by 5G!
Mainly I was pining for turn-based Phantasy Star. I’d accept DnD. I was out of the gaming world from 2005-2020. I could have looked harder, it’s true, and that’s why I’m asking questions.
Is that how those work? I’ve been thinking about BG3. I suppose the first RPG I ever played was a Gold Box SSI game set in the Forgotten Realms so I’d probably like it.
One of my favorite series, Phantasy Star, moved from a turn-based RPG in the 80s to an action RPG since 20 years ago (PSO, PSO2). What if I don’t want to play an action game? I don’t get what happened to the old style of RPG.
Your belief is that the Houthis are doing this to stop pollution? I thought it was supposed to be on behalf of Palestinians.
I tried to make it easy by giving conversions. The only one I didn’t explain is 1/2 a lb which is 8 oz or 225 g, and of course imperial measurements are absurd.
No, half a pound is 8 ounces, or 225 grams. Sure, that’s still a lot.
Yes, it’s a lot, but what if you’re moving houses, going camping, or giving it to someone? It’s legal to give weed to people. It’s like being allowed to brew beer at your house but you can’t leave home with more than a six pack.
Colorado did the same thing. As of last time I dealt with it, you can grow six plants… which could put out like 12 pounds (5.5 kg) if you’re good at it, but you can’t travel with that because you were only supposed to have one ounce (28g) in your possession. Drive somewhere with 1/2 a lb? Same bullshit as always, second degree felony. The cops managed to to keep it illegal after legalization.
Yes, this is a great example of that.
Surprised that’s a new law. In NM recently, in a particularly stupid case, some 14 year old kid shot his friend, a girl, I think on accident… then dragged her body outside and made up an idiotic story about how it was a unknown-motive drive-by and someone in a black SUV shot her. Anyway, his dad had a ton of guns just casually laying around their trailer or house or whatever. The father has been charged with ‘negligent making a firearm accessible to a minor resulting in death’.
That can be a claim, whether or not they’re disputing the basic facts, that the situation doesn’t match the specific crime the defendant is accused of.
It’s almost amazing how shitty these turned out to be. As someone who already hated Tesla, I’m proud.
I’d bet anything about labor unions is ‘political’ but some shit article like ‘work from home is bad for your mental health’ is not.
I’m sure the algorithm will do a passable but terrible job, like their AI moderation. The problem I see is it gives them further excuses about censoring certain topics from people’s feed, while allowing through the political speech they want people to see.
Same. Facebook is of course horrible and has been a net loss for humankind, but Reddit and Elron Musk have managed to demonstrate that things could be even worse.
10-12 years ago IG had a different feel but at this point it’s just generic social media like anything else, plus they also tried to copy Snapchat and TikTok, which has a lot of political content.
I think 2020 was it for me too. I had already stopped visiting more than once every 2-3 months but 2020 was when I finally said wow, fuck this. Some guy who I had to work with professionally - he was actually a show director for a trade show we attended each year - posted a pic, in all seriousness, about how the covid test put a microchip up your nose. Thanks Facebook, I really needed to learn about that. Well, fair warning about the guy I guess. Then I tried to sign into my account just for maintenance in 2023 and though I’d used a linked IG account fairly regularly, and obviously they could tell, it said that I needed to upload my driver’s license to sign into Facebook. Like, who do they think there are? No.
Easily could be charged as an adult if he shot someone else.
