You can change that on a per-profile basis
Oh no!!! I’ll have to re-read the article 🫤
It isn’t! I don’t remember which article it was, cbs I think (I’ll edit the comment when I find it)
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/moon-landing-spacecraft-lunar-surface-today/
But a detailed assessment of the health of the spacecraft and its payloads awaited analysis of telemetry. Finally, two hours after touchdown, the company reported that “after troubleshooting communications, flight controllers have confirmed Odysseus is upright and starting to send data. Right now, we are working to downlink the first images from the lunar surface.”
They updated the article:
Finally, a faint signal was picked up by a communications antenna in the United Kingdom, indicating the spacecraft had, in fact, survived the touchdown.
“What we can confirm, without a doubt, is our equipment is on the surface of the moon, and we are transmitting,” Mission Director Tim Crain told the flight control team. “So congratulations, IM team! We’ll see how much more we can get from that.”
And then further down:

This was an early interaction on Lemmy and made me feel right at home:
From this post
And the actual passage
This was an interesting conversation to follow, but I got lost on the acronyms. Could you expand those please? TIA (thanks in advance)!
So, like, also the Bible right?
What I find works pretty well is to have the bag ready and put the first item into it and then set it down on the bAgGiNg ArEa together
That was a very succinct explanation; two sentence refresher course. Thank you!
I had a very extensively curated feed but I was only a lurker. But I’d made a separate account for actually posting something some years later, so I’d use that feature to post from my “public” account to the account that had the good content
And sometime later I had made a 3rd account for a different reason. And I don’t believe you could see which account you were currently on before switching. Often I’d start posting and forget which one I was on, so had to use that option to make sure I was posting from the correct account
Same. When I have to use the 4a, it feels SO TINY now in comparison
I’m with you on that one. I use a 3rd party app and it’s nice getting that piped link. It uses the in-app browser and I don’t have to go through any extra steps
As much as foss is pushed on here (fediverse) I appreciate the accessibility the bot provided until I make change of life approach to alternatives
Who cares about them. How do you feel?
I can’t think of a time steam was down (for me personally, I know outages happen) that wasn’t planned and announced well ahead of time
And I’ve got a lot of hours on steam
Absolutely one of my favorite james acaster quotes! His whole Netflix special, “Repertoire” is just fantastic
That was a fascinating read, thank you. It’s so sad the same parallels can be drawn to so many “well intentioned” programs and institution
I’ve been in similar situations before as others have commented; needing to rely on some service in order to have a place to live food to eat, and a chance to get a leg up. Fortunately they weren’t too preachy and respected the diverse backgrounds we all hailed from
