Its nice to see more and more people talking about Lemmy, and Sync is one of the big reasons I think.
So whatever we think about that pricing, it puts Lemmy on the map like never before, and we should be grateful and happy for that.

Here in New England, $21 gets you a Big Mac meal and a 20 piece Chicken Nuggets - before tax.
The lifetime add free version of Sync is a one-time payment of $20.
Personally, I am fine with it.
What? That means you don’t support FOSS and by extension this platform! I strongly believe in the benefits of FOSS (Which is of course to me, free software with no obligation to the developers of it at all)
You are a bad person for making me think the developer may want to eat.
I’m personally fine with the price, but I won’t be paying it, i’ll use the free version and/or infinity.
Yes. I don’t think it’s a bad deal in any way. I’ve been browsing Lemmy more with it and have matched my donation to lemmy.world to the subscription for sync ultra.
One more reason to stay in the Midwest…
I never considered fast food was different prices in different areas of the country.
Wages, cost of living, and just general cost of goods vary wildly by location, even just within the US. Go to NYC/SF/Hawaii, and it’s likely more expensive yet.
Even with everyone being online, people tend to live within their own little bubbles.
EDIT: Nope, you have even the prices in Times Square & San Francisco beat.
How about other currencies, will you guys just calm the fuck down - or not?
Surprisingly, the price works out to be almost exactly the same here in New Zealand (34.70 NZD = 21.18 USD).
It’s more expensive on Doordash too.
Here in California my Big Mac costs more but the 20 piece nugget is cheaper. That doesn’t make any sense to me.
True, for most “1st world countries” the price is ok, but US$20 in countries were people earn $1 per hour, it’s a lot. LJ just changed the pricing for like 100 countries, great guy.
Time for the famous BigMac-Index!!!
