This ☝️is more true than I’d like to admit
Totally agree. That part is awful.
But the general ideas behind the trilogy are completely mind blowing and extremely clever, and I find it difficult to find something similarly breakthrough. Maybe the space Odyssey series?
I answer myself: I tested it successfully (thanks again) and it used my local ETC time
One question: is the scheduled time I tended as my local time zone, is it UTC or is it something else?
Thank for the great app BTW!
I checked and, without any plan, I already went throught all robot novels and short stories… So I’ll continue with the empire part! Thank you
No, I only wrote the intro of this Lemmy thread. It’s the part that @rusticus@lemm.ee said was AI generated. At least that was my understanding.
I really hope that the hackaday article cannot be confused with ai generated garbage… Or maybe my taste is really bad!
Thank you. Also I could have written it better. Reading what I wrote again I wasn’t happy at all. It really sounded a bit fake…
I honestly don’t know how to take this 🤔
Well I didn’t know that when reading your post, so I googled it and figured that out, but then I found this and believed that there were lists somewhere, so I asked.
So if there is no list of sf hardness, maybe we should write one 😉
TIL about this scale… Can you share a link to a sorted list?
So having read nothing by Scalzi until now, I was unsure if I liked him or not.
I found this short story in the same universe as Old man’s war, so that I could get an idea of what to expect.
I agree, they are “cold” indeed. But from a story point of view they are optimistic, and usually things end somehow well, with a positive evolution of the character and/or of humanity, which I find kind of reassurng
I would say mostly everything by Asimov and Clarke.
There is an evolutional optimism that always gives me cozy feeling
What a coincidence: Clarke is one of my favorite authors, and for some reason I was missing this one! I’ll read it for sure!
Thank you!
